Salling Group

Each week more than 9 million shopping trips are carried out in our stores, and every day we provide 1.4 million customers with groceries and everyday essentials in our stores, along with a wide range of nonfood products online.

Salling Group provides the framework for more than 50,000 international employees in four countries. Our employees strive every day to give our customers the best possible shopping experience.

Salling Group is a 100% Danish-owned company
On 7th November 2017 Salling Fondene and A.P. Møller – Maersk agreed that A.P. Møller – Maersk would divest its 19% of the ownership making Salling Fondene the sole owner of Dansk Supermarked Group, who by 1st June 2018 changed its name to Salling Group.
The new name marks the Salling Foundations’ reacquisition of the group, which is now a 100% foundation-owned, Danish company. The name draws upon the company’s history while signifying that today it is much more than a supermarket.
Foundation ownership means that Salling Group works exclusively in order to make everyday life better for customers and partners, creates jobs and opportunities by developing the business, and gives back to the community. The company’s profits are solely used to invest back into the business in the form of modernised stores, better shopping experiences and quality goods at competitive prices, as well as donations via the Salling Foundations.
