Welcome to the Master Introduction Days 2016

Our introduction programme includes a vast array of social and academic activities that will give you the best possible introduction to your study programme and fellow students.

The Master Introduction Days 2016 will be held in week 35, from Tuesday, August 30th to Friday, September 2nd.

International Students

Moving to a new country and starting at a new university is daunting so the Master Introduction Week has compiled a special programme (beside the introduction days Thursday and Friday, September 1st and 2nd) for international students to ensure you the best possible start to life and studies in Denmark.

The Introduction Days, for international students only, include the following days:

  • Monday, August 29th, at 09.45 at the ASIS building: building 1631, room 201The first day you will be introduced to and get a lot of information regarding Aarhus University. You also need to register that you have arrived. You can download the App “AU Find” which can help you locate buildings at Aarhus University.

 

  • Tuesday, August 30th, at 09.30 at Nobelparken, Aarhus University. From here we will walk together to Søauditorierne – William Scharff Building 1253-317, where you will be offered help with practical issues, such as registration for a Danish social security number and a residence permit. Later on you will get a thorough introduction to life as a student in Denmark and to the different social activities available in Aarhus from current international students in Denmark.

 

  • We also encourage international students to participate in the drop-by session Wednesday, August 31st. Further information available below.

New students as Aarhus BSS

If you are new to Aarhus BSS then you have the opportunity to participate in a drop-by Q&A session on Wednesday, August 31st. The session will be held on Campus Fuglsangs Allé and Campus Nobelparken from 11.00-14.00.

At Campus Fuglsangs Allé the session is relevant for students attending a Cand.Merc study line and will be held in Upper Multi Room in the S-building, Fuglesangs Allé 4, 8210 Aarhus V.

At Campus Nobelparken the session is relevant for students attending a Cand.Ling.Merc study line and will be held in the Auditorium, building 1482 room 105, Jens Chr. Skous Vej 4, 8200 Aarhus.

During the day, current students will be available to answer questions regarding the school etc. and give you a tour of campus.

 

All new Master students

Thursday and Friday, September 1st and 2nd, all new Master students are encouraged and expected to participate in the Introduction days.

The Introduction Days start Thursday, September 1st, at 08.30 sharp at Campus Fuglesangs Allé 4, 8210 Aarhus V, for all students.

On Thursday, September 1st, the theme is “Introduction to your master’s program” with networking, case competition and teambuilding. Friday, September 2nd, the theme is “From BSS to Business” where your instructors and special speakers from the business world will tell you about their experiences. In the evenings the theme will be “Hygge” where you will get the chance to socialize with your fellow students in a more informal setting. These evenings will include dinner, live music, and a lot of fun.

On Thursday, September 1st, and Friday, September 2nd, all activities will take place on campus Fuglsangs Allé, Fuglesangs Allé 4, 8210 Aarhus V.

The introduction programme includes activities in the morning, afternoon and evening, so please set aside all day, the days you are expected to participate.
