That was true when tradesman Lars Larsen opened his first store in Aarhus in 1979, and it is true today with more than 3,000 stores in 51 countries, and opening around 150 new stores every year. This makes JYSK a great Scandinavian offer for everyone within sleeping and living, and the number of stores means that we can be close to our customers to offer advice and great customer service. Our constant growth and appetite for expansion also means that the number of employees is constantly increasing, and we are always eager to attract new talent to join our 26,500 colleagues working in JYSK today.
Many opportunities at our international head office
A big part of that, along with all other major decisions, is driven from JYSK’s international head office in Brabrand, Aarhus. Right now it looks like a building site, because we are making room for 400 additional employees to be part of our future success. Perhaps one of them could be you. JYSK offers a lot of possibilities for dedicated employees within IT, sales, purchasing, marketing, E-business, communications, sustainability, logistics, business development and much more. All departments are working globally with an international mindset, and we welcome colleagues from all cultures and nationalities to set the strongest possible team.
Although JYSK has grown a lot, the company is still based on the same fundamental values, which are Tradesman, Colleague and Corporate spirit. Our values are derived directly from our founder Lars Larsen and are closely related to our heritage as a Scandinavian company that cares about our employees and our society. JYSK has been working with sustainability for many years, but we also recognise that it is necessary to take even more initiatives to become more sustainable in the future. This an important part of our strategy. Customers around the world still need mattresses, duvets, furniture and everything else for their home and garden, but we have to make significant changes in our value chain to ensure that we can keep providing great offers while reducing our environmental footprint.
