The Buddy Programme

Every year, Aarhus BSS welcomes hundreds of international students that are starting their full degree, either bachelor or masters. To give them the best possible start to their new student life in Aarhus, Studenterlauget created the Buddy Programme to help new international students integrate socially into BSS. The programme has been up and running since 2006!

Each year, the Buddy Programme coordinators will hire new buddies, who are current students at Aarhus BSS, to welcome the newcomers (new full-degree international students at Aarhus BSS) by creating a bunch of social events, making new friends and having fun. The programme will be introduced to the newcomers in their introduction days.

An example of events that are held in the Buddy Programme are:

  • Introduction day
  • Pubcrawl
  • Christmas dinner

The European Charlemagne Youth Prize aims to encourage the development of European consciousness among young people, as well as their participation in European integration projects.
The Prize is awarded to projects undertaken by young people that foster understanding, promote the development of a shared sense of European identity, and offer practical examples of Europeans living together as one community. The European Charlemagne Youth Prize is awarded jointly and annually by the European Parliament and the Foundation of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen.
